Signature Staffing is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support a busy facilities department during ongoing renovations. This is a great opportunity for someone with general handyman, maintenance, construction, or renovation experience who enjoys working with their hands and tackling a variety of projects.

What You’ll Do:
Complete general building repairs and maintenance requests
Assist with drywall, plaster, flooring, painting, and basic repairs
Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and renovation materials
Use hand tools and basic maintenance equipment
Perform preventive maintenance, including changing filters and checking equipment
Assist with renovation projects, facility upgrades, and safety improvements
Help keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
Pitch in wherever needed to keep projects moving

What We’re Looking For:
General maintenance, construction, renovation, or handyman experience preferred
Entry-level candidates with strong hands-on skills are encouraged to apply
Basic knowledge of hand tools and building repairs
Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded
Comfortable performing physical work

This morning, Signature Staffing had the privilege of partnering with The Salvation Army to conduct mock interviews with an incredible group of young people.

The goal wasn't to find the "right" answers...it was to help build confidence. We asked questions to learn about who they are, what they enjoy, what makes them unique, and how they would handle different situations they may face in life or in the workplace.

With every conversation, you could see their confidence grow. They handled each question with thoughtfulness, presented themselves with confidence, and weren't afraid to let their personalities shine. To say we were impressed would be an understatement. Hearing their stories, listening to their perspectives, and watching them step outside of their comfort zones was truly inspiring.

After their interview, each child had the opportunity to choose a backpack and fill it with school supplies to help them start the upcoming school year prepared for success. It was such a meaningful reminder that investing in our youth isn't just about preparing them for tomorrow. It's about encouraging them, believing in them, and giving them the tools and confidence they need today.

A heartfelt thank you to The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region for the incredible work they do every day and for inviting us to partner with them. Together, we're helping equip the next generation with confidence, communication, and the belief that they each have something valuable to offer.

The future is bright, and today we were reminded why investing in our youth matters so much. 💜
