the has opportunities for those in the gaming community to compete and find a gaming community while serving?
The team consists of 212 service members who serve while competing in E-Sports competitions. The team also connects with over 17,000 service members through their volunteer-run Discord channel, connecting those with passions in E-Sports with a community they can call their own. Any service member is invited to join and compete for a spot on the E-Sports team.
Currently, the team competes at the Call of Duty CODE Bowl, MegaCon Orlando, FanExpo Events, and the Halo Majors Orlando. Since their founding, the Army E-Sports team has performed successfully in all major competitions. The team ranked 1st place in the Apex Legends Duos Tournament, 8th out of 500 in the World during the World of Warcraft Mythic Dungeon Invitational Summer Cup, top 32 out of 150 teams in the Halo Fort Worth Major, 34th out of 660 teams in North America during the Apex Legends Pro League Qualifier in Nov. 2023, and 1st place out of all branches in 2021 and 2022 during the Rocket League USO Commanders Cup.
The team hopes to break the misconception of “you don’t get to have fun” once you join the Army and share opportunities for competitions and community for gamers in the United States.
