Hello, my name is A1CJaxon Reed,

I recently graduated from Sheppard Air Force Base and will be working in heavy aircraft avionics. Aviation has always played a major role in my life with my family, and Joining the Air Force has always been something I have wanted to pursue. My major goal is to become a pilot, and the Air Force has everything I need to make sure I get there. Their education programs, opportunities, and benefits are an amazing way of forming a strong foundation to prepare for any situation that is given to me. It took me a while before taking that first step, but I don't regret it at all. I have a feeling it will be the best decision I've made.

I am AB Sebastian Barrero, and the last 7 months of my Air Force journey have been ones to remember. From finishing up BMT to completing tech school in Texas, I can finally come home for a little bit before heading to my first duty station.

It is an honor to serve at the greatest capacity in the greatest Air Force known to man. Being able to have a new adventure every day while working on incredible aircraft is something I’m really looking forward to.

I joined to be able to travel the world, go on cool missions, and be a part of something honorable and meaningful for our country. Even after such a short time, I’ve realized that the number of opportunities that can be presented to me are more than I can count.

My Name is Geman Poloyapoy, I have served in the Air Force for 2 years now. The Air Force has given me the opportunity to step outside of my normal role and comfort zone to experience life from a different perspective.

I joined the Air Force because I wanted to build a better future for myself, continue my education, create financial stability, and build valuable job experience. Since joining, I’ve experienced TDYs, worked with all kinds of Airmen, started college, and learned the ins and outs of a jet engine. Every experience has taught me something and helped me become a better version of myself.

Looking ahead, I plan to continue building my career in the Air Force, finish my CCAF and Bachelor’s, obtain my A&P, and continue challenging myself along the way.

I’m grateful for the people I’ve met, the experiences I’ve had, and the opportunities ahead. This is only one chapter of my journey, and I’m excited to see where the Air Force takes me next. 🇺🇸✈️

A Crew Chief for the KC-135 Strato-Tanker (2A534) is an aircraft mechanic responsible for keeping the aircraft safe, maintained, and ready to fly. Before every flight, we perform inspections and checks to make sure the aircraft is in safe operating condition and identify any problems that could affect the mission.
When the aircraft returns, we inspect it again, troubleshoot any issues, and perform or coordinate the maintenance needed to get it ready for its next flight. Our work can involve aircraft systems such as landing gear, flight controls, hydraulics, engines, refueling and defueling systems, tires, brakes, and other mechanical components. Crew Chiefs also perform scheduled and preventative maintenance, service aircraft fluids, document maintenance, inspect for damage or leaks, and work with other maintenance specialists when a repair requires a specific specialty.
The KC-135 Stratotanker plays an important role in the Air Force by providing aerial refueling to U.S. and allied aircraft around the world. As Crew Chiefs, our job is to make sure the aircraft is safe, reliable, and mission-ready whenever it is needed.

Greetings! My name is A1C Flores I am a crew chief for the KC-135 Strato-Tanker (2A534) heading to my first duty station in Fairchild Washington.
I joined the Air Force during a time in my life when I felt stuck and was having trouble finding my path. I wanted the opportunity to travel the world, finish my bachelor's degree without having to worry about debt, build a better future for myself and my family, and most importantly find a purpose and career I could be proud of.

Joining the Air Force helped me find that path. In such a short amount of time, I've already had the opportunity to do things I never thought I would do, meet amazing people, and make memories that I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. This is the beginning of my journey, and I'm excited to see where it takes me. I am honored to serve as an airmen
