Bug Fire happening in Washoe County-Cold Springs area

This is an important message from the Washoe County School District for Monday, August 10.

The District continues to collaborate with public safety officials to monitor the Bug Fire, and determine the safest plan for our students and staff.

Based on the current evacuation zones, power outages, and updated information, all classes and activities will be canceled at the following schools today, Monday, August 10:

Desert Heights Elementary School
Silver Lake Elementary School
Lemmon Valley Elementary School
Shaw Middle School
Spanish Springs High School
Alyce Taylor Elementary School
Jesse Hall Elementary School
Spanish Spring Elementary School

All other schools will be in session today.
