Job Summary
HireQuest Direct is looking for a highly skilled and reliable Experienced / Master Mason to join our commercial construction team immediately for projects in Lake County, FL. Key Responsibilities
* Lay concrete blocks, bricks, structural clay tiles, and stone materials with extreme accuracy and speed.
* Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and technical plans to ensure exact project specifications are met.
* Prepare, mix, and apply mortar or cement mixtures to correct consistencies.
* Ensure all walls and structures are perfectly straight, level, and structurally sound using levels, plumb bobs, and laser alignments.
* Operate masonry tools, saws, mixers, and scaffolding safely and efficiently.
* Lead or mentor junior masons and apprentices on-site when required to maintain quality control.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering strictly to OSHA standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional masonry experience, with a heavy emphasis on commercial construction projects.
* Technical Skills: Mastery of laying CMU (Concrete Masonry Units), brick, and block matching. Strong blueprint reading skills are required.
* Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs consistently, stand for long periods, and work comfortably in outdoor Florida weather conditions.
* Reliability: Must have dependable transportation to jobsites across Lake County and a strong track record of punctuality.
* Tools: Must possess your own reliable set of hand tools for the trade (trowels, jointers, levels, hammers, etc.).
