I've sat in their seat.
I've been the accountant. I've worked in public accounting. I've been a Controller. I've hired people. And today, I'm a recruiter.
That experience has shaped the way I approach recruiting.
As an active CPA, I understand the terminology and the work. I understand why leaving public accounting can feel like such a big decision. And I understand that sometimes people aren't even sure what they want their next step to look like.
That's where I really enjoy helping.
Sometimes it's less about telling someone what job they should take and more about asking the right questions to help them figure out what they want.
I've been on that side of the table, too. And I think that perspective matters.
For those who have made a major career transition, what helped you know you were ready?
