⚓ NO SHIPFITTING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
PMQS is looking for experienced skilled tradespeople ready to take their structural steel, fabrication, fitting, or construction experience into the shipyard!
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
✅ 4+ years of building, construction, or structural steel experience
✅ Structural steel fabrication or construction experience
✅ Structural fitting, assembly, or layout experience
✅ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and weld symbols
✅ Ability to measure and work with fractional dimensions
✅ Experience laying out and fitting structural components
✅ Experience with tack welding
✅ Experience using cutting/burning torches
✅ Experience using grinders and other power/vibratory tools
✅ Ability to assemble structural components according to drawings and specifications
✅ Experience working in a physically demanding industrial or construction environment
✅ Experience with rigging, lifting, positioning, or setting heavy steel is a plus
✅ Experience with air carbon arc gouging is a plus
✅ Experience fabricating or installing structural supports, foundations, platforms, frames, plates, or similar steel assemblies is a plus
