POSITION SUMMARY:
The Recruitment Specialist is often the first introduction an employee will have to BBSI and needs to be able to clearly articulate BBSI’s purpose and assess whether a candidate will be a fit for the assigned client company. The Recruitment Specialist sets the tone for what is expected of each role and is responsible for the recruitment and placement of candidates for a wide variety of positions across multiple industries. This person will collaborate with a variety of client companies to understand their hiring needs; they will educate, advise, and influence companies on matters involving recruitment, staffing, employee engagement, change management, performance management, and employee relations. The individual must possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine desire to deliver results proactively and consistently for our clients and internal teams.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This position reports to the Staffing Manager and works in partnership with other positions within the branch.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Define recruiting requirements by understanding customer organization plans and objectives
• Identify and mitigate business risk in customer environment
• Build applicant sourcing opportunities
• Advertise for candidates, and screen, interview, qualify and place candidates
• Conduct coaching, counseling, disciplinary action and termination of employee’s
• Conduct new hire enrollment and develop and facilitate orientation training programs
• Develop and maintain an environment of sound human resources principals and practices
• Additional development expected by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, and participating in professional organizations
• Develop recruitment practices to align with customers’ desired results/outcomes
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; PHR or SPHR certification desirable.
• Computer literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with valid automobile insurance meeting company criteria

• Diagnose, disassemble, clean, overhaul, repair, rebuild, and adjust clutches, transmissions, differentials and power divider systems, suspension systems, electrical systems, braking systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, steering system, emission and hydraulic systems. Submit and complete technical reports and documentation. Troubleshoot fault codes and check engine lights as well as installation of engine, transmissions and other components.

Education & Experience:

• 5 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic-WE ARE WILLING TO TAKE ON SOMEONE WITHOUT DIESEL EXPERIENCE AND TRAIN YOU IN A DIESEL APPRENTICESHIP!
• Preferred 2-year technical school for Diesel Mechanic's (Will substitute experience)
• Preferred *ASE certification (Will substitute experience)
• Preferred certifications on Cummins and Detroit engines

Physical Demand:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to operate a computer and diagnostic equipment
