Our community is preparing to open a new correctional facility in June 2026, and we’re inviting dedicated, service‑minded individuals to help build something meaningful from the ground up.
We are hiring Corrections Officers at all levels—from those just starting their careers to experienced professionals and supervisorswho want to make a difference, support public safety, and grow within a stable, mission‑driven organization.

Kansas City is proactively working to strengthen its workforce by inviting impacted Federal workers to an information and resource fair on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 3-6 p.m. at the 2400 Lobby of Bartle Hall (1500 Central). Parking is free.

Due to the success of this event, we are pleased to announce that we will be hosting another fair on May 8, 2025, from 3-6 p.m. at the same location.

Kansas City recognizes the invaluable experience public service employees bring to their roles. Whether in Federal government or other parts of the public sector, public service provides the skills, insight, and dedication that drive strong municipal services. Kansas City is proud to recruit this talent and provide opportunities across a range of departments.

Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from various City departments, including Aviation, Water Services, Health, Public Works, Neighborhood Services, Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity (NEO), KCPD, Housing, Parks & Recreation, Human Resources, City Communications and Finance.
