Kristen Laughlin Stothard- Kappa Alpha was our first ever recipient of the June Barber Scholarship! Throughout this campaign we want to highlight some of the incredible women who are apart of its story!

“Being the first recipient of the June Barber Scholarship was such an honor. I had heard many inspiring stories of Ms. June and her accomplishments from her granddaughter. To be associated with that legacy was and is truly touching. The financial boost gave me the ability to offer more of my time and energy to Chi Omega at KSU.”

Martinis & Mahjong was a HUGE success!!! From newbies to frequent fliers we loved getting together with all of our sisters!!

Since 1996, the Kansas City Chi Omega Alumnae Association has proudly awarded the June Barber Scholarship to outstanding women from the Kansas City area. To date, we’ve given 35 scholarships totaling nearly $37,000.

To continue this legacy—and grow the award into something even more impactful—we’re working to raise $21,250 this year to strengthen the endowment.
