They say the first step is the hardest, and they’re right. But it’s also the most important. Once you decide to act, every small effort builds momentum. Keep going. You’ve got this!

When Kristen Heck first walked into LC Staffing, she was new to Montana, looking for stable work to support her family. She didn’t yet know the local employers or have a network to lean on, but she quickly discovered LC’s mission of helping people move forward without ever charging job seekers for opportunities.

What started as a receptionist role turned into a passion. Kristen loved the energy of the staffing world and the impact it made on both people and businesses. After years of growth, she took the leap and bought into the company, eventually becoming the owner with a vision to keep LC’s mission alive.

For Kristen, the mission is personal. She remembers what it felt like to be new, in need of work, and searching for connection. That experience fuels her drive to make sure LC meets people at their point of need, encouraging them whether or not they land a role through LC.

Over the decades, LC Staffing has built lasting relationships, helping people find careers that grew into leadership and ownership roles. Today, the company blends modern tools like AI with a commitment to face-to-face connection, because work is about people first.

Looking ahead, Kristen’s vision is clear: keep adapting to Montana’s evolving workforce while never losing the human connection that makes the work meaningful.

What a day out on the course last week! The Flathead Building Association’s Stud Finder Class Golf Tournament was so fun. Our team had a blast sponsoring hole 12, rocking our 80’s theme, and spending the day with so many great folks from the community.

Big day at the Trade Center on Wednesday! The NW Montana Job & Opportunity Fair was buzzing with people and activity, and we were glad to be part of it. We love getting to connect face-to-face with folks who are ready for their next step.
