Registered Nurse(RN)- In-Home Assessments

Current Location: Lansing, Rapid City, Traverse City, Sanford and Hudson areas

Xcel Staffing is partnering with Michigan home care providers to hire experienced Registered Nurses for one‑time, in‑home benefit eligibility assessments. This is a great opportunity for RNs who enjoy autonomy, flexible scheduling, and meaningful one‑on‑one client interaction without ongoing caseload management.

Position Overview

The RN will complete 40-90‑minute, in‑home assessments to evaluate a client’s health status, daily living needs, and eligibility for support services. Documentation is submitted electronically within 24 hours. Each visit is a single assignment — no long‑term client follow‑up required.

Responsibilities

**Conduct one‑time, in‑home health and living needs assessments
**Evaluate physical, cognitive, and functional status
**Document findings clearly and accurately using an electronic platform
**Submit completed assessments within 24 hours of the visit
**Maintain a professional, compassionate bedside manner
**Communicate any concerns or safety issues as needed

Requirements

**Active, unrestricted Michigan RN license
**Reliable transportation for in‑home visits
**Must have own laptop or tablet for documentation (cell phones not permitted)
**ADL
**Strong assessment and documentation skills
**Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
**Professional and respectful communication style
