The WIB is a non-profit corporation that operate

We oversee employment and training programs in the seven counties of Barry, Barton, Dade, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, and Newton in Southwest Missouri. Through our Heartland 411 partnership, we join forces with neighboring WIBs in Southeast Kansas, Northeast Oklahoma, and Northwest Arkansas to enhance the greater Four-States area labor market. The WIB’s role with the Joplin Regional Partnership further links the WIB’s resources with economic development tools to help our regional communities in pursuit of prosperity.
