‼️NEEDED: BRAKE PRESS/SHEAR MACHINE OPERATOR‼️
We are seeking a motivated Brake Press/Shear Machine Operator to join our Client's team. This position is responsible for operating brake presses, shears, and punch presses, as well as assisting with other shop duties. Experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Full Time: Mon-Fri | 2nd shift | 4:30pm to 1:00am
Pay: $18/hr
Responsibilities:
✅ Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape metal materials.
✅ Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, drawings, and specifications.
✅ Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, gauges, and fixtures.
✅ Adjust machine settings, including bend angles, pressure, speed, and feed rates.
✅ Measure and inspect finished products using calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools.
✅ Ensure all parts meet quality standards and customer requirements.
✅ Troubleshoot machine and production issues to minimize downtime.
✅ Safely load, unload, stack, and band materials for processing and shipment.
✅ Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials as needed.
✅ Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
✅ Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
✅ Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
✅ Assist with inventory movement and material identification.
Requirements:
✅ High school diploma or GED.
✅ Minimum 3 years of machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
✅ Previous brake press experience required.
✅ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
✅ Strong math and measurement skills, including fractions and decimals.
✅ Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
✅ Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
✅ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
✅ Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
✅ Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and walk for extended periods.
✅ Frequently lift up to 50 pounds or more.
✅ Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
✅ Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots
