19 years of military service. 17 years in aircraft maintenance. And now, a new chapter in civilian aviation.

Meet Dwayne, the first SkillBridge participant at STS Aviation Services.

Dwayne began his military career as an Aerospace Maintenance Apprentice (Crew Chief), advancing through several leadership positions before serving as a First Sergeant. Along the way, he built a career around aircraft maintenance, leadership and helping fellow service members succeed.

Now, he's putting that experience to work through a 180-day SkillBridge program with STS Aviation Services.

Working alongside the maintenance team, Dwayne is gaining hands-on experience with Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft, including engine and pylon removal and installation. He's also working toward his Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate, an important step in his transition to civilian aviation.

For Dwayne, the opportunity is about building on nearly two decades of military experience while learning from experienced, certificated maintenance professionals.

At STS Aviation Services, we're proud to support service members as they transition into civilian careers. Programs like SkillBridge provide an opportunity to apply years of military training in a commercial aviation environment while developing new skills and professional relationships.

Dwayne is our first SkillBridge participant, and we're looking forward to welcoming more in the months ahead.

Supporting military aircraft readiness requires more than having the right parts. It takes experience, coordination and the ability to deliver when it matters.

STS Aviation Group has been selected as a prime contractor awardee for the U.S. Air Force's KC-46 CASPER program, a five-year, multi-award contract vehicle with a total ceiling exceeding $470 million.

Through this program, our material services team will have the opportunity to compete for task orders supporting component repair and exchange requirements for the KC-46 tanker fleet.
It's an important milestone for STS Aviation Group and another step forward in the continued expansion of our defense sustainment capabilities.
