🚒 FAREWELL TO FIRE MARSHAL NATE SIMMONS🚒
After serving with the Janesville Fire Department since April 17, 2023, we say goodbye to Fire Marshal Simmons as he begins the next chapter of his career.
During his time with JFD, he served as Fire Marshal, while also being an integral part of the Fire Investigation Team and the IAAI-Wisconsin Seminar Committee.
Beyond the firehouse, he’s a proud husband and father. He and his wife, Paige, are raising their family of six — Ridley, Brayson, Rylan, and Brentley. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him hunting, golfing, or playing sports with his kids.
As he moves on, he’ll be diving headfirst into full-time fire investigation in the private sector, continuing to put his knowledge and experience to work in a new chapter.
Before leaving, he shared a message that perfectly captures what the fire service is all about:
“The Janesville Fire Department is made up of great people and is the main reason the JFD is a great place to work. The fire service is also way more than EMS or fire calls. It’s a great career that can take you down many different paths, such as being a member of a dive team, confined space team, fire inspector, car seat technician, battalion chief, or fire marshal. So, find your niche, and don’t ever stop caring about the people, department, and community you serve!”
Thank you for your service to the Janesville Fire Department and the Janesville community. We’re grateful for the time, dedication, and knowledge you brought to JFD.
