The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) "Above and Beyond Award" recognizes local employers that provide benefits and resources that support employees in the National Guard and Reserve that exceed requirements. IowaWORKS was recently presented with the award and recognized for its efforts supporting Veterans, service members, and their spouses.

Registered Apprenticeship programs: 968 ✅ Employer Partners: 2,060 ✅ Active apprentices: 9,407 ✅ Of these April 2026 numbers, the top five job roles are interior electrician, high-voltage electrician, heating & air conditioning mechanic, pipe fitter, and plumber.
