SUMMARY FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE.:
Assist with performing general support functions for client shipments. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
-Read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance measurements.
· PC literate. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
-Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
· Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
· Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
· Manages complex transactional or emotional customer situations promptly and professionally meeting commitments for service and assistance.
· Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
· Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views.
· Consistently at work and on time. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
-High School Diploma or GED.
- One to two years related experience.
Preferred:
- Minimum one year industry experience
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
· Trace and track customer's freight.
· Maintain contact with the airlines, trucking companies and any agents that will be handling the freight to ensure shipper and consignees are aware of any problems.
· Provide proof of delivery.
· Responsible for processing pick-up requests and entering data in the system.
· Respond to and handle all daily customer service requests.
· Notify customers of any delays in shipping and dispatching points.
· Enter shipment data in system.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
PAY RATE AND SCHEDULE:
$17.00
Various schedules
M-F, 8am - 5pm
Tues-Sat 8am - 5pm
