Happy Tuesday everyone. I just received an urgent need for 5 Remote Revenue Integrity Specialists with a major health system running through October.

These are not traditional coding roles, so I wanted to give a better breakdown of what they are looking for.

Typical backgrounds include:
• Revenue Integrity Specialist
• Charge Capture Specialist
• Revenue Cycle Analyst
• Hospital Outpatient Coding
• Charge Audit backgrounds

Candidates usually hold coding credentials, but the role itself is more focused on reviewing medical records to ensure accurate revenue capture and reconciliation rather than actively coding charts all day.

Responsibilities include:
• ED charge review
• Observation carve outs
• Missing charge reconciliation
• Modifier review and application
• Charge capture auditing
• Revenue integrity support

AHIMA or AAPC credential preferred.

This role includes:
IP ProFee day of care
Bedside services
Babies
Cardiology
Respiratory
Newborn
OB
More complex pediatric cases

What we need:
5+ years of ProFee coding experience
Recent surgical coding experience
Recent pediatrics or children’s hospital experience

Details:
Remote
W2 with PTO, benefits, and 401k
$35/hour
Minimum 6 month contract with potential to extend longer

Once this role ends with the client, we will work to place you with another ECLAT client to help avoid gaps in work. If anything changes, we will communicate with you ahead of time so you know the likelihood and next steps.

Another inpatient coder officially got an offer accepted.

Always a good feeling helping strong coders land opportunities they’re excited about, especially in today’s market where experienced inpatient coders are in high demand.

A lot goes into these placements behind the scenes. Understanding trauma experience, teaching facilities, complex case mix, systems, communication, timing, and making sure it’s the right fit on both sides.

A lot of people hear “no new codes” and think nothing changed.

That’s not what I’m seeing.

The April ICD 10 updates are putting a bigger focus on sequencing and how conditions are reported. That directly impacts DRGs, audits, and reimbursement.

The teams I’m talking to are putting more value on coders who can think through complex cases, not just assign codes.

Curious what others are seeing right now. More queries? More audit pressure?
