Know how to look at a set of plans—and then head into the field to make sure the work matches them?

The Reserves Network is hiring a Civil Construction Inspector to support municipal infrastructure projects for a large City of Houston government office. This role combines plan review, field inspections, documentation and problem-solving to help ensure construction projects meet approved plans, specifications and contract requirements.

💰 $28.10/hour
☀️ Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
📍 Downtown Houston, TX 77002

💵 Weekly Payscale

You'll review drawings, specifications, surveys, floor plans and site plans, conduct field inspections, verify materials and contractor compliance, and use tools such as GIS/mapping systems and Google Earth to research and resolve issues.

We're looking for someone with at least two years of journey-level experience related to the inspection work, strong written communication and critical-thinking skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe. A valid Texas driver's license is required. Relevant plumbing, electrical, mechanical, structural, occupancy or elevator inspection certifications are preferred depending on the area of inspection.

You’ll partner directly with hiring managers, develop sourcing strategies, maintain candidate pipelines, coordinate temporary staffing needs, and track recruiting activity. Candidates should bring previous recruiting/talent acquisition experience plus familiarity with ATS/HRIS platforms, job boards, social media and Microsoft Office 365. A bachelor’s degree in HR or a combination of at least three years of relevant HR experience, education and/or training is requested.
