**Trek to new heights with SmartLaser 830.**

Training challenges the body. Recovery prepares it for what comes next—and research continues to explore how photobiomodulation may support that process.

🔬 In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, 28 high-level soccer players received **810 nm PBM** before an exercise protocol. At the more effective power settings, researchers reported improved muscle performance, reduced delayed-onset muscle soreness, and lower markers associated with muscle damage and inflammation.

The study also offered an important reminder: **more power was not necessarily better.** Wavelength, dose, power, timing, and treatment location all matter.

Whether the goal is returning to the trail, the field, or everyday movement, thoughtful recovery—and thoughtful application—matters.

🔬 **What is the latest PBM research telling us?**

A 2026 systematic review examined photobiomodulation therapy as part of rehabilitation following knee and hip replacement surgery.

Across four randomized clinical trials:

✨ Three reported improvements in postoperative pain or swelling
✨ Two reported improvements in range of motion or functional recovery

**The takeaway?** PBM may be a valuable addition to postoperative rehabilitation—but wavelength, dosage, tissue depth, treatment timing, and frequency all matter.

PBM is not simply about delivering “more” light. It is about delivering the appropriate wavelength and dose for the tissue and clinical goal.

This growing body of research highlights PBM’s potential to complement rehabilitation and support recovery through a noninvasive approach.
