Which interview question makes you the most nervous?

“Tell me about yourself.”
“Why should we hire you?”
What are your strengths and weaknesses?”
“Do you have any questions for us?”
…or something else?

Interviews can be nerve-racking, but preparation can make a big difference.

Here are a few ways to prepare:

1. Read the job description again.
2. Research the company.
3. Practice answering common interview questions.
4. Test your internet connection, camera, and microphone before the interview.
5. Find a quiet, well-lit place with a stable internet connection.
6. Prepare a few questions to ask the interviewer.

Remember, it’s okay to be nervous. Even experienced professionals get interview jitters.

Preparation builds confidence.

Good luck! 💙

Most applicants spend their cover letter talking about themselves:

"I'm hardworking."
"I'm passionate."
"I'm a fast learner."

But your cover letter shouldn't be about you.

Your cover letter should answer one question:

"How can I help this client?"

Instead of only listing your qualities, connect your skills to the employer's needs.

Example:
"I have great organizational skills."

vs

"My organizational skills can help you stay on top of schedules, emails, and daily administrative tasks."

The client already has a problem they're trying to solve. Show them how you can be part of the solution.

Experience matters, but first impressions matter too.

Before they look at your work history, many recruiters notice:

✔ Did you follow the application instructions?
✔ Is your communication clear and professional?
✔ Did you submit everything that was requested?

Sometimes, attention to detail is what helps your application move to the next stage.

Not everyone starts their VA journey because they dreamed of becoming a Virtual Assistant.

Some people are simply looking for a better work-life balance.

Some want to spend more time with their family.

Some are tired of long commutes and heavy traffic.

Some are looking for a fresh start after years in a different career.

And some are simply hoping for an opportunity that allows them to grow.

No matter what brought you here, remember this:

You don’t have to have the perfect resume.
You don’t have to know every tool.
You don’t have to have everything figured out on day one.

What you do need is the willingness to learn, the discipline to keep improving, and the courage to take the first step.

Every experienced VA was once a beginner.

Every successful interview started with someone clicking “Apply.”

Every career change began with someone deciding to try.

Your journey won’t look exactly like anyone else’s, and that’s okay.

Focus on becoming a little better than you were yesterday.

Keep learning.
Keep applying.
Keep showing up.

You never know which application could change your career.

To be a well-respected authority in the real estate industry by providing viable and excellent services to real estate agents.

Working the night shift doesn’t mean sacrificing quality sleep.

Here are a few habits that can help:

1. Stick to a consistent sleep schedule even on your days off when possible.

2. Make your bedroom dark, quiet, and cool. Blackout curtains, earplugs, a sleep mask, or even a relaxing lavender candle as part of your bedtime routine can help signal to your body that it’s time to rest.

3. Avoid scrolling on your phone right before bed. Give your mind time to wind down.

4. Limit caffeine a few hours before your planned bedtime.

5. Take your vitamins consistently and prioritize a balanced diet. Night shift work can make it harder to maintain healthy routines, so taking care of your overall health is just as important as getting enough sleep.

6. Let the people at home know your sleeping hours so they can help minimize interruptions.

7. Stay hydrated, but avoid drinking too much water right before bed if it causes you to wake up frequently.

Taking care of your sleep is one of the best investments you can make—not just for your health, but also for your focus, productivity, and long-term success as a virtual assistant.
