From September 15 to October 15, 2026, LINK Staffing joins communities across the country in celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month.

This observance honors the histories, cultures, traditions and contributions of Hispanic Americans. It recognizes the many communities and generations whose experiences have helped shape our country, from family traditions and the arts to education, business and public service.

The dates carry special meaning. September 15 marks the independence anniversaries of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. Mexico celebrates on September 16, followed by Chile on September 18.

The national observance began as Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968 and expanded to a month in 1988. Today, it offers an opportunity to learn about the many distinct histories within Hispanic heritage and celebrate the people who carry those traditions forward.

Two brothers bought a piece of swampy land where two bayous meet in 1836 and named a town after a general. There was no reason it should have worked.

It became a port, then a medical center, then a city where nearly every kind of work that builds Texas can be found.

We have been putting people to work here since 1980. Not the famous part of the story. The part where somebody clocks in.
