PVT Denz Aranda, a permanent resident originally from the Philippines 🇵🇭, took a huge step toward his future by enlisting in the Arkansas Army National Guard as an 09M (Future Soldier Prep Course) candidate.

Today, PV2 Dakota Brantley, a junior at Lake Hamilton High School, took a major step toward his future by enlisting in the Arkansas National Guard as an 11B Infantryman under the Split Training Option. This program allows Dakota to attend Basic Training this summer, return to finish his senior year of high school, and then complete his Infantry training afterward.

Dakota plans to attend Henderson State University after graduation to study Fixed Wing Aviation, proving you can serve your country while building your future. ✈️

MINUTEMAN MONDAY! Spc. Caelah Carvin is a 42R, Army musician, assigned to 87th Troop Command’s 106th Army Band. Unsure if she could afford college after high school, she stumbled across the Arkansas National Guard and raised her right hand. The G.I. Bill and National Guard Tuition Waiver is paying her way through college at Arkansas Tech University where she’s earning a bachelor's degree in instrumental music education She plans to teach music after she graduates college.

“Military service has transformed me into not necessarily a different person, but an unquestionably better version of myself,” she said. “Through all the training and experiences I have received, I have gained discipline, physical readiness, free schooling, and most of all, specialization and knowledge in my field that I sincerely could not have gotten any other place.”

As we close out RY25 and welcome in RY26, I want to take a moment to reflect.

Any success I’ve experienced this past year doesn’t belong to me alone—it belongs to the Arkansas Army National Guard Recruiting Team as a whole. But even more importantly, it belongs to the individuals who gave me the greatest honor a recruiter could ask for: the chance to stand beside them as they raised their right hand and committed themselves to service.

To every Soldier I’ve had the privilege of enlisting—you are my success. Your courage, your decision to serve, and your willingness to carry on a legacy of sacrifice and service that is truly without equal—that is what defines this year.

As we move into RY26, I’m excited for what’s ahead, and I’m grateful for every individual who chooses this path. Here’s to continuing the mission, honoring the legacy, and building the future of the Army National Guard—together.
