Congratulations to Private First Class Vanessa Howell and Private First Class Andrew McGuirt on their enlistment into the Indiana Army National Guard! Both contracted as a 13F, Fire Support Specialist with a $20,000 sign on bonus! They will be attending Basic Training and AIT together as well! Both plan on attending ROTC while using their benefits to obtain their Bachelor’s Degree upon their return from training!

From the airport as a Civilian to graduating BCT as Solider Of the Cycle, Thomas, Briana is my most recent Basic training graduate and I couldn’t be prouder. What a great job representing your community and representing what a soldier truly is. Disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in your warrior tasks and drills. Briana’s next step is AIT (Advanced Individual Training) where she will train in her MOS which is 12W ~ Carpentry and Masonry Specialist. ❗️❗ Special Forces in Action ❗❗

Soldiers with the ’s Company A, 2nd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group and Slovakian Special Operation Forces are extracted by a UH-60 Black Hawk during a State Partnership Program training exercise at Muscatatuck Training Center near Butlerville, Indiana, Sept. 26, 2023. Through the SPP, the National Guard conducts military-to-military engagements in support of security goals.
