I get asked how long I have been a bee keeper. This month makes 10 years. What I would give to have another day in the bee yard with these three men. These old timers took the time to show me how they did things. Yes Billy and I did all the hard work but they had endless knowledge of how to keep bees. What they didn't know they would make up on the spot.

Most ask questions in bee keeping! How many hives do you have? I hate this question. I try my best not to lie. But to be honest I do not count my bee boxes. I lose a few I gain a few and even putting numbers on the boxes don't make an honest answer. Loses and gains are the main part of bee keeping. The second question is how much honey do you have. I really haven't counted that either. A quart here, a case there. Tell me how much you are needing and I will count that out for you. I have more important things to do in my life than all this counting that will be a lie tomorrow anyway. Loses and gains are the answers!!!
