What a night in Puebla, Mexico!
Last night, we had the joy of celebrating our 2nd annual IENA alumni event, bringing together an amazing group of past exchange visitors who once took a huge leap of faith and traveled to the United States to work at summer camps throughout the country with a visa sponsorship from IENA โค๏ธ
It was such a special evening filled with stories, laughter, memories, and real pride. So many of these young people arrived in America not knowing much English, and came away with so much more than just work experience. They built confidence, formed lasting friendships, strengthened their English, and had experiences that truly changed their lives for the better.
That is the power of cultural exchange.
This event was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when young people are given the chance to step into something new and grow through it. It was also a celebration of the incredible camp partners we work with across the U.S. who opened their doors, believed in these participants, and created spaces where they could learn, contribute, and thrive.
For the Mexican community, this kind of cultural exchange means so much. It creates connection, opens minds, builds confidence, and brings home stories, skills, and perspectives that stay with people for life.
To everyone who joined us last night, thank you for making it so meaningful. And to our alumni, we are so proud of you. Your journeys are inspiring, and it was an honor to celebrate everything youโve accomplished together. ๐ซถ๐ซถ๐ซถ
