Thoughts for today and tomorrow….
What are we teaching our kids about the future of our nation if we stay so divided … we must think about some of our ways.
In our schools we demand “zero tolerance” for bullying yet too many of us look up to bullies.
We post welcoming signs at the entrance of our cities stating “proud to be stigma free” yet we tolerate when people make fun of others who deal with both mental and physical challenges.
We claim to love thy neighbor but instead throw insults at anyone in our path.
We have laws of the land but now everyone can agree that at this moment in time the laws don’t pertain to everyone equally.
“Land of the Free” is at risk if more rights are taken away.
Our hearts crave love but we voted for hate.
We can redirect all this to be on a more humane path…. Everyone of us has room to improve ourselves. We can and will do it.
We must find our humanity once again and KEEP HOPE ALIVE….
I know I will by …. loving my neighbors whether I like them or not…. By helping those less fortunate …. I will defend the underdog and not accept bullying of my family friends or strangers. We need to try every day henceforth to be a better example than we ever have been before and pray that all our leaders do the same. The youth today is the future we need to show them the way to be courageous but humble … kind … caring … loving … generous … and rekindle faith in each other… then I will … What are we teaching our kids about the future of our nation and who do will they have to look up to emulate?
