Currently, this national footwear and clothing brand are looking to hire immediately for an Traffic Office Assistant! You will be working in a office but on occasion you may need to work in the warehouse. They are looking for someone with strong communication, customer service, Excel and Word, skills. You will be working with their Customer Service Dept gathering POD information as they relate to Ecom shipments to consumers and researching LTL shipment information for our Wholesale customers. Key Tasks:
-Proof of Deliveries (POD) are researched upon request.
Investigate undelivered/damaged/lost shipments, initiate freight claims and track to resolution and payment.
-Willingness to learn to pick orders and to work in the warehouse as needed.
-Create International outbound documents for International shipments.
-Create ASN file folders for each non sample shipment.
-Organize and maintain daily shipping records including bills of lading and shipping manifests for all outbound shipments.
-Customer refused shipments are researched and disposition is provided to carrier.
-Short or damaged (OS&D) claims are resolved.
-Concealed shortages are researched and resolved.
-Work with Small package and LTL carriers to resolve issues as needed and to correct bills of lading as necessary.
Key Competencies:
-Punctual and available for work as scheduled.
-Computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Word and EXCEL in a Windows environment.
-Previous Customer Service skills desirable.
-High school diploma required, some college preferred (or equivalent work experience) and 1+ year transportation industry experience desirable.
-Possess strong analytical skills; able to handle multiple and changing priorities with good problem solving capability.
-Must be thorough and detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Able to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team to achieve goals.
Hours: Monday-Friday 4am-12:30pm
Pay: $16-18/hr
