Congratulations to Sgt. Tyler Holloway (2022 NOY) with the Wyoming National Guard’s 115th Field Artillery Brigade, and Sgt. Spencer Fayles (2022 SOY) with the Utah National Guard’s 144th Area Support Medical Company, as they were declared winners of the 2022 All Guard Best Warrior Competition. They will now represent the National Guard's 330,000 Soldiers from the nation's 54 states and territories at the Army Best Warrior competition this fall.

In just over 2 weeks Tennessee will host the 2022 Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition!

Spc. Grayson Vaughn, a Knoxville native and military policeman with the Tennessee’s 252nd Military Police Company, is one of two Tennessee Soldiers who will compete in the competition at Smyrna’s Volunteer Training Sites, July 24-29.

14 Soldiers from seven regions will be competing for the title of Best Warrior or NCO of the Year. The national competition will be even more grueling than in previous years, pushing the competitors beyond their limits. This year’s six-day competition will take place across the state and incorporate over 30 obstacles testing the competitors’ mental and physical fitness. The stress-inducing events are designed to tests the Soldiers’ mental fortitude, individual skill, and ability to work as a member of a team.
