Want a 4 day work week? Do you have a knack for machining?
A well known Green Bay Area Machining Company is looking to add to their team on their 4 day work week: Monday-Thursday 2pm-12:30am. This opportunity is for their Mazak Vertical Milling Machine paying based on experience $12-23/hr with in house paid training provided and for the right candidate coupled with benefits such as health, dental, 401k and more!
Within this opportunity, you will load materials, frequently check tolerancing and other quality metrics of your finished products, and will have options for voluntary overtime.
Responsibilities
- Load materials like cast iron blanks, angle iron, stainless steel, various sheet metal and plastics all staged for you by a materials handler
- Able to program machining tasks start to finish via Mazak Vertical Milling Machine interface
- Frequently do offsets, tolerance checks, and work through all machine errors
- Work under minimal supervision, and can properly communicate within a team environment
- Maintain a safe environment for self and team, utilizing PPE like work boots, safety glasses, and sometimes earplugs
Skills
- Working knowledge of drills, taps, tapers, reams, and future fabrication / assembly actions
- Basic math and geometry utilizing decimals and measuring tools to obtain customer requirements
- Able to lift up to 30lbs and 75lbs as a team lift
- Organized and able to schedule workloads according to internal and customer timelines
Qualifications
- 3+ years of blueprint reading (mostly 2 dimensional) preferred / not required
- GD&T knowledge preferred / not required
- 3-5 years of experience preferred- in house paid training provided and for the right candidate
- Forklift and overhead / jib crane experience preferred / not required
- Metallurgy and various metal and plastic properties knowledge preferred / not required
