The NEW Manufacturing Alliance is a non-profit organization led by manufacturers that works to collectively attract, develop and retain the highly-skilled workers who are critical to the manufacturing industry in northeast Wisconsin. Alliance member companies work collaboratively with other workforce and economic development partners to ensure the region remains strong well into the future. Looking for a hands-on career in shipbuilding? Fincantieri Marine Group is seeking Machinery Installers to join its production team in Marinette.

Now hiring:

• Machinery Installer – Req. 4305

In this role, you’ll help install, align, and prepare the machinery and equipment that keep each vessel mission-ready.

Responsibilities include:

• Installing and assembling machinery using hand and power tools
• Moving, positioning, and securing equipment with rigging tools
• Preparing foundations and mounting points
• Performing shrink-fit work on components
• Connecting power units or piping and supporting mechanical testing
• Reading blueprints and schematics
• Working with crane operations to align and secure large components

Candidates must be 18+, able to lift 50 lbs., comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces, and available for all shifts.

Project Manager – Medical Cart Development

This role oversees the full lifecycle of custom medical cart projects, from initial proposal through end-of-life. Responsibilities include managing multiple projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, supporting customer communication, and helping ensure projects stay on time, within scope, and on budget.

Flex Shift Production Supervisor

This working supervisor role supports day-to-day manufacturing operations while leading and developing employees. The position oversees the fabrication cell and/or paint line, helps drive productivity and quality improvements, troubleshoots production issues, and supports HUI’s Lean and safety initiatives.

October is Manufacturing Month, and students across Northeast Wisconsin are getting a firsthand look at careers in manufacturing!

Throughout October, the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance (NEWMA) is covering transportation costs for schools to visit local manufacturing facilities, helping students explore career opportunities right here in our region.

This week, students from Denmark toured Belmark inc and Lindquist Machine Corporation , while students from Howards Grove and Two Rivers High Schools visited Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry.

These tours give students an opportunity to see manufacturing in action, meet industry professionals, and discover the wide range of careers available in modern manufacturing.

A big thank you to our participating manufacturers for opening their doors and helping inspire the next generation of manufacturing talent!
