Managers used to be the most engaged people in the workplace. That’s changing.
According to Gallup, manager engagement dropped from 27% to 22% in just one year and has steadily declined since 2022. That “engagement advantage” managers once had is shrinking.
And when managers feel it, teams do too.
The takeaway? Engagement starts with how we support and recognize leaders and not just the people they manage.
A little recognition can go a long way in rebuilding that connection.
