Ever have to stay away from home? Then you understand just how important a clean, safe and welcoming environment is. The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.
As Housekeeper, you will:
- Clean, dust, polish and vacuum to make sure guest rooms and bathrooms in order to meet hotel standards.
- Change linens, make beds, and leave the bathroom sparkling.
- Restock all guest room supplies, like soap and shampoo.
- Organize your linen closet, restock your cart, and get ready for the next day, before your shift ends each day.
- Greet guests that you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile.
- Position requires ability to stand, twist, lift and bend.
Fundamentals
- To be successful in this role, you need basic English communication skills.
- This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving up to 25-30 pounds.
- You will also lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- You must also be able to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions.
- This is a full time position, which can include weekends and holidays.
Practices safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
• Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
• Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Impresses guests with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.
• Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly. Ensure all required training occurs including orientation, safety, emergency, fire, and blood-borne pathogen.
• Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience, whether oral or written.
• Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school education. Preference will be given to candidates with current or prior experience in an Inspector role. Familiarity with hospitality industry practices. The Company may consider equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience providing the knowledge, skills and abilities cited herein.
