Contract Quality Resident Engineer (QRE)
Location: Georgetown, KY (Automotive Manufacturing Facility)
Position Type: Contract | Part-Time (W-2) – 20 hours/week
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Resident Engineer (QRE) to support an automotive manufacturing customer in Georgetown, KY. This part-time, W-2 contract position serves as the primary quality liaison between the customer and the supplier, ensuring clear communication, timely issue resolution, and strong quality performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the on-site quality representative at the customer’s manufacturing facility
• Communicate quality issues, requirements, and feedback between the customer and supplier
• Support containment, problem-solving, and corrective action activities
• Track, document, and report quality issues and trends
• Participate in quality and production meetings as needed
• Ensure timely follow-up on customer concerns and supplier responses
• Maintain strong professional relationships with customer and supplier teams
Qualifications:
• Prior experience as a Quality Resident Engineer, Quality Engineer, or similar role in automotive manufacturing
• Knowledge of automotive quality systems and processes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• OEM or Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier experience preferred
Schedule:
• Approximately 20 hours per week
• On-site position
• Some flexibility based on production and customer needs
Employment Details:
