Some questions I get about our aircraft carriers are:
•How does that thing even move?
•How much fuel does that thing use?!
•How many people fit on that?
The US Navy uses TWO nuclear reactors to run this floating city. That’s everything from making the ship move to powering the coffee maker🤣.
Nuclear reactors are known for their longevity. These guys can go over 20 years without stopping to refuel. Talk about always being ready!!!
Lastly, this towering behemoth has a lot of moving parts. Moving parts require dedicated workers. On average, a carrier can have anywhere from 5-7 THOUSAND crew members!!! That’s more than a lot of towns in the US.
