Machine Operator Trainee in Huntington Beach
Level: 1 (Film Packaging)
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs semiskilled work operating a variety of equipment: extruders, unfolders, slitters, hose manufacturing, perforators, bag machine, reprocessing, and packaging.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Must be have the ability to lift up to 50lbs
· Must have the ability to stand prolonged hours
· Must have the ability to bend, twist, squat
· Advises supervisor if material is damaged, defective or has imperfections.
· Performs machine set-ups according to standard procedures or work order plans provided by supervisor.
· Performs minor equipment adjustments as necessary.
· Checks operating controls and safety stops on equipment prior to operating equipment.
· Must have legible handwriting skills.
· Maintains a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
· Reviews work order / drawings and resolves conflicts.
· Produces and packs product manufactured per work order instructions during shift when applicable
· Must be able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
· Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
· Notifies supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.
· Performs other jobs related tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor; sweeping, empty waste bin, rearrange gaylord’s.
Pay rate varies depending on shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) : $12.25/hr-$15/hr
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
