General information

I.L.A. Local 20 is an employment referral service for the Port of Galveston as a whole and not as an entity. The Local 20 hires people on a referral basis. This means all people hired at the Local 20 Hiring Hall are not guaranteed work until they are deemed capable of completing the job. There are certifications and training that must be completed as well as an entry process. All candidates "MUST" have a TWIC card before any paperwork can be started on any new members.
