MISCELLANEOUS:
• This operator may be utilized to support a production line as required (see attached Machine Operator job description).
• Participate in ongoing Safety, ISO, and quality training.
• Continue ongoing training, as time allows, developing into a Machine Operator - Level I.
• Sweep, pick-up, and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Move unsuitable waste material to the warehouse.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to do simple math, read, write, and read a tape measure; job competence will be determined during 90 day trial period in accordance with New Hire Training program.
• Must be capable of working an assigned 12-hour shift, scheduled 4-days on followed by 4-days off. (Night shift 8:00pm – 8:00am / Day Shift 8:00am – 8:00pm). The assigned shift may be subject to day / night rotation as needed.
• Must be capable of working before shift, after shift and/or off-days as needed.
• Must have good communication skills with the ability to learn quickly and to pay attention to detail.
• Must be dependable and have a reliable means of transportation.
• Must have a dependable means of being contacted and keep management informed as this may change.
• Report to work timely and work the scheduled shift. Good attendance is a condition of employment.
• Must be capable of operating an industrial lift truck (forklift and clamp lift).
• The following tasks are required on a regular basis while performing the duties of this position: sit, continuous walking / standing, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk/hear, and climb up and down stairs.
• Must be capable of bending, stooping, reaching, and crawling as needed.
• Must be capable of working around and on heavy / moving production equipment and machinery.
• Work at elevated heights / platforms.
• Exposure to strobe light devices.
• Work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
• Capable of lifting at least fifty (50) lbs. The movement of a heavier load will require assistance.
• Work safely at all times, following all procedures and utilizing the identified personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work efficiently and with minimal supervision. Demonstrate self-motivation.
• Work well with co-workers/supervisor – as a team.
• Report all problems (safety, quality, machine, co-worker, etc.) immediately to the Production Lead and/or Shift Supervisor.
