I’m looking for a Senior HR Advisor for a (mostly*) remote consulting opportunity supporting clients across California.

This is a strong fit for an experienced HR professional who enjoys variety, client interaction, and solving real workplace issues. The work will include employee relations, compliance, performance management, investigations, policies and procedures, and day-to-day HR guidance.

A few details:
• Mostly Remote (some travel to client sites might be required - less than 10% travel)
• 20–30 hours per week
• $35–$50/hour

• Strategic, hands-on HR consulting work
• California HR experience required.

I’m recruiting for a Systems Engineer II supporting advanced space and defense programs in Tustin, CA.

This is hands-on systems work across the lifecycle: requirements, architecture, interfaces, integration, verification and validation, and MBSE. You’ll be working with engineers and scientists solving the kinds of technical problems where the hardware actually has to perform when it matters.

What we’re looking for:

🛰️ 3–5 years of relevant Systems Engineering experience
🛰️ Aerospace, spacecraft, satellite, or defense experience
🛰️ Requirements development, ICDs, CONOPS, integration and V&V
🛰️ MBSE / SysML experience; Cameo/MagicDraw is a big plus
🛰️ Strong cross-functional engineering experience
🔐 Active Top Secret clearance required to start

Hiring an outside recruiter is not admitting your internal team failed.

It usually means your internal team is already carrying too much.

Open roles.
Employee relations.
Onboarding.
Compliance.
Manager hand-holding.
Last-minute fires.
All the things nobody sees.

Then a hard-to-fill role lands on their desk, and everyone expects magic.

An outside recruiter should not replace your team.

They should give them room to breathe.

Extra sourcing power.
Market feedback.
Candidate outreach.
Screening support.
A clean shortlist instead of a resume pile.

The right recruiting partner does not make your team weaker.

They make your hiring process stronger.

That little line gets treated like a blank check.

One role becomes two.
Then three.
Then “just for now” becomes the new normal.

The employee who says yes gets rewarded with more work.

Not more pay.
Not a title change.
Not real support.

Just more.

Then leadership acts surprised when strong people burn out, disengage, or leave.

Flexibility is fair.
Scope creep disguised as teamwork is not.

In missed deadlines.
Delayed projects.
Overloaded employees.

This is not a role for someone who wants to sit around tweaking business applications all day.

This is for the engineer who likes working close to the hardware, knows their way around C++, can get into Linux kernel issues without panicking, and actually enjoys solving ugly technical problems.

The work supports drone systems tied to U.S. Government programs, so the right person needs to be comfortable in embedded environments where performance, reliability, and system behavior actually matter.

Must-haves:
• Strong C++
• Linux kernel experience
• Embedded or systems-level debugging
• Strong root-cause analysis
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Able to work hybrid in San Diego, 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

Nice to have:
• Python
• Video streaming or real-time video
• Gaming or graphics

PTF Consulting is conducting a confidential search for an accomplished Interim CFO to lead the finance organization of a private equity-backed manufacturing company.

This is a 6 to 9-month engagement with the potential for conversion to a permanent CFO position. The role is hybrid and located in the Northeastern United States. The exact location and company identity will be shared with qualified candidates as the process advances.

The Interim CFO will partner closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, executive leadership team, and private equity sponsor during a period of financial improvement, operational transformation, and strategic growth.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Full leadership of the finance and accounting organization
• P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and working capital oversight
• Budgeting, forecasting, FP&A, and executive reporting
• Manufacturing finance, standard costing, and inventory management
• EBITDA, margin, and operational-performance improvement
• Board, lender, and private equity sponsor reporting
• Internal controls, U.S. GAAP compliance, and financial governance
• Finance-team leadership and organizational development

Candidates should bring:

• Prior CFO experience leading finance for a $100M+ organization
• 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience

Crew chief Mike, here sorry with the late week update! This past Saturday at Dominion we unloaded the car was a bit tight. We made adjustments through practice and qualifying and found some speed. Whether you planned it or not.

Candidates notice when interviews are organized.

They also notice when they are not.

Late feedback.
Duplicate questions.
Unclear next steps.
