IT Network Support Technician
Job Description:
IT Network Support Technician identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems and provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Must have intermediate advanced knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, DHCP, WINS, DNS, MS Server, and Active Directory. The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for server support, system support, and documentation of issues, issue resolution and processes. This position will perform moves, adds, and change maintenance to PCs, Workstations, Servers copiers and printers. The IT Technical Support specialist is responsible for providing excellent customer service while working issues to completion.
Essential Job Functions:
Install new workstations using standard desktop applications and configurations.
Monitor and respond to support requests received via the helpdesk ticketing system, IT Support telephone, and the IT Support email box.
Install/upgrade all PC& #39; s and peripherals, ensuring proper configuration and network connection.
Monitor critical systems (e.g., Active Directory, Email, Websites, SQL Databases, network, and phone connectivity, backups) and initiate troubleshooting and repairs as necessary.
Network Administration – including connectivity for routers, switches, and firewalls.
Provide IT support for users, reporting computer or technical issues.
Document, track, and monitor issues to ensure timely completion.
Perform upgrades to server and workstation hardware as needed.
Maintain user account information including access rights, security, and systems groups.
Perform daily checklist of system status.
Configure and maintain the Company’s phone system.
Initiate and coordinate to successful resolution various assigned IT.
Requirements:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education:
BA/BS in a related field preferred.
3+ years’ experience in IT desktop support, troubleshooting and analysis.
Salary: $92,000 - 96,000 Per Year
