We’re currently hiring a **Lab Technician** to join a manufacturing team in Fort Wayne! If you have experience in **quality, laboratory testing, manufacturing, data entry, or working with technical procedures**, this could be a great opportunity.

🧪 WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Perform daily foam testing in the lab
• Cut detailed test samples for testing
• Enter and maintain testing data
• Issue Certificates of Compliance to customers
• Communicate effectively with plant associates and managers
• Follow all plant rules, SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures
• Work with suppliers to address defective materials
• Perform SAP transactions, including part number searches, inspection plans/lots, and material holds/releases
• Review and disposition nonconforming products

⏰ FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE:

Choose from one of the following schedules:
• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

*30-minute unpaid lunch included.*

📌 Training will take place primarily on 1st shift, so flexibility during the training period is required.

Responsibilities include:

Assist with kitchen cleanup and closing duties
Work efficiently during busy meal periods

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Overtime Opportunity: Once trained, employees may work Fridays from 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM at time-and-a-half pay.
Pre-Employment Requirement: Weld Test Required Prior to Hire

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to specifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Candidates must successfully complete a weld test before receiving an employment offer.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on a variety of metal materials and components.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal parts to required specifications.
Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and structural integrity.
Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting torches, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Assist with additional shop duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous welding experience preferred.
Ability to pass a pre-employment weld test.
Experience reading blueprints and fabrication drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Basic knowledge of shop safety practices.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

-Willing to train as well. Just some basic mechanical, or construction skills help tremendously. The forklift driving, loading and unloading will be fairly minimal. As we don’t have trucks coming and going all day.
