Landing your next job starts with a strong resume. Your resume is your first impression—making it polished and professional is essential. When formatting your resume for today's job market, there are a few important things to remember!
1. Put Things in Chronological Order - Listing your previous experience & work history in chronological order makes it clear and easy to read for recruiters.
2. Keep it Short - Your resume does not need to be longer than one page. Try to condense and only list relevant information so it does not become too much.
3. Avoid Images & Icons - While you may think they look nice, adding images or icons to your resume can actually have the opposite eye-catching effect.
4. Use a Plain Font - Using an easy-to-read font like Times New Roman or Cambria ensures that recruiters will be able to understand your resume. Keep the size around 11 pt or 12 pt so it doesn't get too big or small!
