Industrial Forklift Repair Technician/Mechanic Job Description:
- Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnose issues with propane and diesel forklifts.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance (PMs) according to manufacturer specifications to prevent equipment downtime.
- Repair and replace components as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure all forklifts are in safe working condition and meet OSHA safety and operational standards.
- Fully participate in and support the Fabrication Quality System.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures especially concerning safety and personal conduct.
- Perform all other duties as listed in procedures and or assigned by managers.

Industrial Forklift Repair Technician/Mechanic Requirements:
- 1+ years of hands-on experience as a forklift mechanic, industrial maintenance mechanic, or heavy equipment technician preferred, but not required.
- Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
- Must possess own tools.
- Ability to perform physical labor, lift up to 50 lbs., and stand or bend for extended periods.
- Must have basic reading, writing and math skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, twist, and any other movements required to do so

Steel Fabricator/Fitter Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and drawings, and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered equipment to match measurements)
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Align components using a tape measure, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces

Steel Fabricator/Fitter Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of fabrication/fitting experience
- Proven experience as a welder
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, etc.)
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.)
- Deftness and attention to detail
- Professional Certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
