🎡🎟️ JEFFERSON COUNTY FAIR 🎟️🎡

What a fun weekend getting to work the Jefferson County Fair and spend some time out in the community! 🇺🇸

One of the best parts of recruiting is getting to meet people, hear their stories, and learn about what they want for their future. We’ve had the opportunity to talk with high school students, recent graduates, and members of the community about their plans moving forward and share how the Missouri Army National Guard may be able to help them reach those goals. 🎓💪

Whether that means going to college, learning a trade, starting a career, gaining experience, or simply trying to figure out “What do I do next?” — sometimes all it takes is knowing what opportunities are available to you!

Of course, we couldn’t work the fair without having a little fun ourselves! 😂 We stepped away from the tent for a bit, played some fair games, walked away with a GIANT new friend 🦬😂, and I even got to hang out with one of the smaller fair residents! 🐊

Sometimes you have to let that inner kid come back out and enjoy the moment! 🎯🎡

🚨 SPC Johnson enlisted as an 88N – Transportation Management Coordinator and is ready to begin this next chapter of her journey!

🚨 At 32 years old, SPC Johnson is a great example that it is NEVER too late to join! Think you missed your opportunity after high school? Think again! You may be able to join the Army National Guard up to age 42! 💪🇺🇸

🚨 SPC Johnson is currently attending Webster University, where she is working toward her Master’s degree. She is also taking advantage of the Student Loan Repayment Program to help pay down qualifying student loan debt. 🎓💰

A little late, but definitely worth sharing!

Earlier this month, on June 6-7, my team and I had the opportunity to represent the Missouri Army National Guard at the Chesterfield Air Show alongside several other local National Guard units. It was an incredible weekend filled with meaningful conversations, new connections, and the chance to engage with so many members of our community.

We enjoyed answering questions about the opportunities available in the National Guard, sharing our experiences, and meeting people from all walks of life. Events like these remind us how important it is to stay connected with the communities we serve.

Of course, the air show itself did not disappoint. From the amazing aerial demonstrations to the impressive displays of aviation skill and professionalism, it was an unforgettable experience.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and took the time to talk with us. We appreciate the support and look forward to seeing you at future community events!

Every summer growing up, my sister and I would make the trip to Naval Support Activity Mid-South in Millington, Tennessee, to watch the Blue Angels perform. Those air shows became some of my favorite memories, and like many kids watching from the crowd, I was amazed by the skill, precision, and teamwork displayed in the sky.

The Blue Angels have been inspiring Americans since 1946, serving as ambassadors of the U.S. military while showcasing the professionalism and excellence of our nation’s service members. For nearly 80 years, they have represented what can be accomplished through dedication, discipline, and teamwork.

Because of those childhood memories, having the opportunity to stand alongside two Blue Angels pilots and take this photo is truly a dream come true. It’s one of those moments that reminds me how far I’ve come and how opportunities can appear when you least expect them.

The truth is, this experience would not have happened without my decision to join the Missouri Army National Guard. Joining at 17 years old opened doors I never knew existed. It helped me earn my college degree, build lifelong friendships, serve my community, and experience opportunities that continue to surprise me. My career as a Missouri Army National Guard recruiter has allowed me to meet incredible people and be part of events like this that I once only dreamed about as a kid.

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, come out to the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show! You’ll get to see the Blue Angels perform, enjoy an incredible aviation experience, and stop by the Missouri Army National Guard display to say hello. I’d love the opportunity to talk with you about the Guard, answer any questions you may have, and share how military service can create opportunities of your own.

A huge thank you to Webster Groves High School and Coach White for having me out during summer football workout last week!

It was a great opportunity to work with the team and put them through a challenging team-building workout focused on communication, leadership, perseverance, and trust. The energy, effort, and competitiveness these athletes brought was impressive, and it was great to see them push each other to succeed.

I appreciate the opportunity to spend time with such a hardworking group of young men and look forward to continuing our partnership with Webster Groves football. Best of luck to the Statesmen this season!

As Memorial Day approaches, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Memorial Day is more than just a long weekend — it is a time to reflect on the courage, selflessness, and dedication of those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As a member of the Missouri Army National Guard, I am reminded how important it is to never forget the fallen and the families who continue to carry their memory. Their service and sacrifice will always be remembered.

Please take a moment to honor those heroes and reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day. 🇺🇸
