Previous experience hiring for technical/engineering positions at a tech startup or at a big tech company is extremely important.
As an internal resource to senior leadership throughout the organization, the candidate must have appropriate and exceptional communication and political skills. The talent strategist should be comfortable in an entrepreneurial role and able to bring definition and structure to a newly created position. They must have experience recruiting, scaling and assisting a lean, world-class company to keep pace with a venture capital backed company undergoing hyper-growth. Excellent planning, organizational and problem-solving skills are critical, in order to juggle multiple responsibilities and projects, while consistently meeting deadlines. High level of discretion, integrity, judgment and responsiveness, as well as fearless personal initiative, solid leadership skills and the ability to both give and receive direction.
