Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Helper to join our team. In this role, you will assist in the delivery of construction supplies to our customers, ensuring that products are loaded, transported, and unloaded safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and be comfortable with heavy lifting and moving items. This position is essential in maintaining our commitment to exceptional service and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

Assist the delivery driver in loading and unloading construction supplies from the delivery truck
Ensure all items are secured properly during transit
Help navigate delivery routes and maintain timely schedules
Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from customers
Handle heavy lifting and moving of packages as required
Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery area
Skills

Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction
Previous warehouse experience preferred
Experience with commercial driving or as a delivery driver is a plus
Familiarity with box trucks and manual transmission vehicles is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely
Knowledge of route driving practices to ensure efficient deliveries
Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is beneficial
Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively

Schedule: Flexible hours – Nights and weekends required

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate the cash register (open/close register, reconcile till, etc.)
• Deliver outstanding customer service
• Maintain cleanliness of the store (inside and out)
• Stock, rotate, and face products on shelves and in coolers
• Complete daily safety audits
• Work independently and with minimal supervision
• Read and write in English
Qualifications:
• Previous cash handling experience preferred
• Good basic math skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and cover additional shifts as needed
