Meet our GLOW BOSS ICON Josette Pelatan , she is an award recognized filmmaker, interdisciplinary scholar, educator, researcher, author, and founder of JosetteXMP Productions LLC, launched in February 2026 to transform lived experience into bold storytelling and social impact. Born in Miami and raised in France, Josette's journey from high school dropout and special education student to doctoral scholar and multidimensional creative entrepreneur is a testament to radical perseverance, intellectual curiosity, and what she calls “delusional faith,” the courage to believe in a possibility before the evidence arrives. After returning to the United States alone at sixteen, she climbed the educational ladder through financial aid, scholarships, determination, and an extraordinary commitment to lifelong learning, earning an Associate degree, a Bachelor's in Linguistics, a Master's in Education focused on Political Science and Social Justice, a PhD in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences, and numerous certifications spanning languages, social studies, health sciences, and neurology. She has spent more than twenty years teaching across public, private, and charter schools, colleges, and universities, inspiring learners across disciplines from languages and political science to advanced pre medical education. Her doctoral work became the foundation for her evolution into interdisciplinary research and ultimately the creative catalyst for her filmmaking career.
Today, JosetteXMP Productions LLC is developing her flagship feature film The Prostitute's Daughter and documentary Homeless with a PhD, while simultaneously building five interconnected movements centered on storytelling, education, mental health, human dignity, and housing: The Prostitute's Daughter, Homeless with a PhD, Schools FOR Humanity, Empowered Minds for a Healthy World, and HomeMORE. Her growing body of work has earned recognition across media, education, rare disease, leadership, and social impact spaces, including a 2026 Open Education Award.
