Access to food is easy to take for granted when you have never had to wonder where your next meal will come from.

Recently, members of the Award Staffing team volunteered with VEAP. The experience gave us a closer look at the care, effort, and attention that go into helping individuals and families facing food insecurity.

What stood out most was not only the amount of work being done, but the standard behind it. Food is carefully inspected, reviewed, and presented before reaching community members. That attention matters. It helps ensure that people receive more than food. They are treated with the dignity and respect every person deserves.

The day also gave our team an opportunity to work together in a different setting and strengthen our connection to the community we serve. A special thank-you to Paul and Brian for guiding us through the process and helping us understand how each task contributed to a much larger effort.

We are grateful to VEAP for the opportunity to lend a hand and learn from the people doing this important work every day.

Meaningful work can take many forms. Sometimes, it looks like helping make sure a neighbor has food on the table.

Congrats to our Sr. Account Manager, Kyle on 3 years!

Kyle brings an intentionality to his role that is rare. Thoughtful, refined, and sincere, he approaches sales with a genuine focus on people. He supports others in any way he can. He brings humor, camaraderie, and the occassional workout routine or two to our team.

Derek says, "I appreciate the way our relationship has grown over the years, and how much I continue to learn from Kyle. He has a unique ability to bring people together and help create a real sense of community and belonging across our teams. I’m grateful for you, proud of your impact, and excited to see what’s ahead."

Gabe adds, "Kyle has been an incredible coworker, mentor, and friend. It is rare to work this closely with someone and still want to hang out with them outside of work. He is the embodiment of focus, precision, and hard work, while simultaneously keeping his humor. On top of that, he genuinely cares about his coworkers and his clients. His guidance and mentorship have helped me grow in my career. I hope that I push him a fraction of how much he pushes me."

Thank you for being part of our team Kyle!

Looking for the right job opportunity this summer?

When you need work quickly, it's tempting to take the first job that comes along.

But finding a position that fits your skills, strengths, and long-term goals can make all the difference in where your career goes next.

Instead of taking any available position, we helped Andrew find work that best supported his experience, what he does best, what kind of team he could succeed with. He was hired on by one of our clients as a Technical Switchboard Assembler where "everyone is kind and the work keeps me busy."

Job searching should be about more than finding work fast. It's about finding the right fit where you can develop your skills, contribute in meaningful ways, and continue building your career.

If you need work this summer but don't want to settle for just any job, we're here to help you find an opportunity that fits your future.

Happy 5 years to Chia!

Chia handles complex back office challenges to ensure our team runs smoothly and efficiently. Her data-driven insights help our team monitor their progress and keep track of their results. Her efforts help all us improve.

Victoria captures her spirit perfectly: "Starting in operations and growing into her role as a Payroll Specialist, Chia has proven time and again that she can do it all and somehow always make us laugh along the way. Her humor, straight talk, and quick wit are a rare combo, and in a people-first (read: people-chaotic) industry like staffing, that matters more than words can say."

Chanda adds, "Chia is a wonderful person to have on the finance team. She brings a proactive and positive demeanor that every leader hopes to have. Her quiet yet clever humor brightens our day."

Thank you for being with us Chia!
