Job Summary: Assemblers on 1st and 2nd shifts for this job will assemble products and operates equipment safety, productively, and ergonomically correct while manufacturing quality parts and assemblies. There is a $1 pay differential for 2nd shift.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Previous manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
Responsibilities:

Daily Tasks Level 3: To be completed with instruction from supervisor or authorized trainer.

Assembles, packages and labels products.
Operates equipment and tools as required.
Maintains assembly jigs, hand tools and equipment in good working order.
Has basic product knowledge. Know which types of wheels belong on specific products being assembled, model numbers, bearings, nuts, bolts, etc.
Continuously produces at an acceptable level of productivity with some supervision. (70%)
Performs other duties as assigned.
Daily Tasks Level 2: In addition to above tasks.

Arranges own assembly area for the efficient assembly of all products.
Notifies Production Supervisor of tools in need of repair, low inventory of items used daily and poor quality of product being assembled.
Produces quality finished goods with acceptable workmanship and few rejects.
Maintains moderate product knowledge. Know which types of wheels belong on specific products being assembled, model numbers, bearings, nuts, bolts, etc.

This position is responsible to perform all position MIG, TIG, Arc/gas welding, Steel and Galvanized metal on structures and elements according to company’s procedures and quality standards. Pay differential of $1 on 2nd shift and $2 on 3rd shift.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:


Selects welding procedures best suited to type of work and material involved and vary techniques to obtain proper pe*******on, fusion and strength, offset distortion and maintain alignment.

Reads fabrication prints, production orders, bills of material, and process sheets. Reviews all parts for accuracy.

Sets the controls and/or make the proper adjustments to the welding torch, wire feed motor, and power supply.

Fits-up jobs in welding fixtures and jigs. Ensures proper alignment and dimensional specifications are held.

Welds or tacks parts into various sub-assemblies or complete assemblies.

Cleans welded area by performing initial grinding operation.

Monitors welding process and make adjustments if necessary.

Unloads welded structure from welding fixtures/jigs.

Inspects all work at each step of the procedure to assure compliance with company’s Quality Standard Policy and Procedures.

Keeps Welding Supervisor informed of any quality variances.

Completes a scrap and rework report for any quality errors.

Assures the work area and aisles around them are kept clean and free of debris.

Returns all items and tools to their proper place.

Follows procedures in company handbook and other documents.

Displays a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.

Maintains outstanding attendance and work ethic.

Works within a team concept and contributes to a positive work environment.

Demonstrates a professional attitude in approaching job assignment.

Maintains professional image to customer and other employees.
